Starting from the tradition of the maypole dance, Cristiano Lenhardt covers one of the pavilion’s columns with interwoven fabrics in a performative action. A mesh was created through the choreography of 60 dancers, distributed around a single column which spans the pavilion’s three floors. The performance was accompanied by mantras for the creation of an energy field.
I have contributed to this project training the bodies and voices of the performers and teaching them Lenhardt’s choreography.
