What if our eyes would touch the world? Everything that reflects light and makes itself visible to eye would also touch our skin in a reciprocal relation of touches and sensations. It is particularly thinking about the touchable quality of the light that D’Anunciação creates A Pele da Luz (The Skin of the Light), a solo dance piece based on the interaction with a video-projection.
With a projector facing the corner of the space, the video conforms to the architecture, which gives it an exaggerated bi-dimensionality due to the figure’s distortions by the angular surface. In addition, abstract images constantly reorganizes the space. Sometimes expanding it, sometimes concealing it. The performing body then can become big, small or yet fragmented, but always moving in response to the ongoing scenographic changes.
